On Thursday the 1st of December Zonta House Refuge Association (Perth) held a lunch to honour our very own Mary Gurgone for her contribution as volunteer Board Member and Director and her achievements in this position. Mary was recently nominated for the PwC Director Award in the WA Not-for-Profit Sector.

Zonta House believes all women should be able to make safe and sustainable life choices and aims to achieve this through support provision to women who have suffered from family or domestic abuse, homelessness or any other crises which may have hindered their ability to do so.

Mary in her position as the Chair for the board, facilitated for the establishment of the Positive Pathways program. The Positive Pathways program won the WACOSS Community Sector prize this year, and is considered a best practice model to re-settle women affected by Family and Domestic Violence into meaningful and sustainable life pathways.

Congratulations Mary! We are very proud of your achievements.
